The contrast/surprise hook is the one I keep coming back to. Subverting the obvious expectation in the first sentence earns the reader's attention without having to work too hard. Good breakdown.

People spend weeks refining their core message and approximately two seconds on the headline. It’s a remarkable way to ensure your finest work remains entirely confidential.

I would be very interested in learning more about your success on Substack. I am new to Substack. Please give me some feedback on my Home Page and Posts and how I can improve.

The curiosity and eloquence sections are the two I keep coming back to bc those are the ones that don't feel like tactics.... they feel like genuine human instincts being named out loud 🤍 "Finally someone said it" is rllly just what happens when you write smth true enough that people feel seen by it.

Sending you a DM bc I'd love to have an open conversation abt this.... hope you're open to it 😄
